The Guadalajara company will increase internet speed in the double play (telephony and internet) and triple play (pay TV, internet and telephone) packages at no additional cost, the change of which is expected to benefit almost 3.3 million users in the country.
The company detailed that the speed increases will be reflected in the packages that had 60 megabytes to go to 100; as well as those of 80 will have 150 megabytes; Those of 100 megabytes will also have 200 megabytes; those from 300 to 350 megabytes.
“In cities with fiber optic technology, Megacable will provide an extra benefit to subscribers to guarantee an improved browsing experience, due to the relevance that speed has today for uploading files and carrying out activities such as video calls, working on the Internet. cloud, online games, the use of streaming platforms and live broadcasts,” the telecommunications company said in a press release.
Megacable currently has 100,000 kilometers of fiber optics, covering approximately 17 million homes.
Since the first half of this year, the company had applied increases in its rates of up to 50 pesos in each of the services it has packaged, arguing inflationary issues and increases in the quality of internet and restricted television services. But with the new plan, Megacable is committed to retaining its consumers at a time when the industry has become more competitive in terms of prices and supply of megabytes.
