Rocket Lab achieves a new record by launching two rockets in less than 24 hours

Rocket Lab aerospace company reported This Monday that two Electron rockets successfully took off from platforms located in different hemispheres, with a difference of less than a day.

The first takeoff took place on Sunday from launch complex 2, located on Wallop Island, in Virginia (USA). However, Rocket Lab did not reveal what its rocket carried on this launch. The second takeoff was carried out from the company’s pad 1, on the Mahia Peninsula, in New Zealand, 21 hours and 55 minutes after the first launch.

This mission put into orbit the third set of five satellites from the French company Kinéis, which is deploying a constellation that will provide Internet of Things connectivity services. Rocket Lab detailed that it set a record for the fastest response time between launches. This was Rocket Lab’s 14th mission so far this year, making 56 missions in total.
