“The weapons are transported by Hezbollah unit 4400, which is responsible for the terrorist organization’s arms smuggling operations from Iran through Syria,” he said in a statement on the X social network.

The Army has indicated that the weapons moved from the pass, controlled by the Syrian security forces, “are used for terrorist activities against Israeli civilians and Israel Defense Forces soldiers operating in southern Lebanon.”

The director of the customs crossing, Dabah al Mashal, told the official Syrian news agency, SANA, the day before, that Israeli fighter jets attacked several points of the crossing, located in the northern area of ​​the Bekaa Valley, under Syrian control in the rural area southwest of Homs.
