In recent days, the news was known that the National government established a new pedagogical bonus for those teachers and managers who work in the country’s public sector.. How much is it and what benefits can it bring to the Colombian educational system?
For what is mentioned from the Ministry of Education’s own portalthe bonus scale would be as follows:
-Year 2024: 24%
-Year 2025: 29%
-Year 2026: 35%
“It is important to highlight that this bonus percentage will be equivalent to the basic monthly allocation of the position that the teacher or teaching director is performing at the time of its accrual”they say from the educational portfolio.
Furthermore, they maintain that although it is an economic compensation for the work of this sector of the country, it is also “ratify the commitment to the well-being and dignity of teaching work and recognize the fundamental role that educators play for the development and progress of the country, training the generation of Peace.”
The decree was signed by the finance ministerRicardo Bonilla; he education ministerDaniel Rojas, the director of the Administrative Department of Public ServiceCésar Augusto Manrique, and aims to improve the salary situation and quality of life of the country’s teachers.
