The Israeli representative has denounced that since the attacks by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on October 7, 2023, a series of pro-Iran militias have launched “hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles as well as several dozen cruise missiles” against Israeli territory. .

Saar has condemned these attacks, alleging that they are “deliberately aimed at attacking national infrastructures, civilian areas and military bases” and that they represent a “flagrant violation” of the United Nations Charter and International Law, and has warned that they could “drag the region to a very dangerous escalation,” in addition to threatening international peace and security.

The minister has identified Kataib Hezbollah, Asaib Ahl al Haq – also known as Jazali Network -, Al Nujaba and the Badr Brigade, among other groups, as responsible, ensuring that they are affiliates of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which They are integrated into the Iraqi security forces.

Likewise, Saar has pointed out to the Iraqi Executive: “It is responsible, under International Law, for preventing the use of its territory as a base for attacks against other nations.”
