One of Bumble’s first revelations is that, globally, 72% of its users are looking for a long-term relationship. In Mexico, 93% of those surveyed stated that in 2024 they lived positive experiences in the love sphere, and the platform anticipates that next year the desire for romance and transparency will continue to increase.
Trends for 2025
Micro-romance: small gestures, big impacts
Forget big public gestures; The trend points to intimate and significant details. According to the survey, although 52% of women consider themselves romantic and one in three indicated that the lack of romance has affected their love life, they now prefer small displays of affection. In Mexico, 93% of singles agree that showing affection includes sending memes, sharing playlists or having coffee together on morning walks.
“Something that made me fall in love with my boyfriend is that everything was always very intimate. For me it is much more valuable that he shares with me what he enjoys and who he is, rather than grandiose gestures in public,” says Melissa López, who met her partner on Bumble.
Date With Me: dating and love life on social media
Inspired by the “get ready with me” (GRWM) phenomenon, Bumble predicts that in 2025 the trend of sharing love experiences on networks will increase. Whether it’s telling breakups or dating stories, this type of content helps people feel less alone. According to the app, 42% of women feel safer sharing their experiences, while 44% of Mexicans affirm that these contents make them view their love life with optimism.
Same fan, same vibe: authenticity and connection
For 46% of those surveyed, original interests are essential in a couple. In Mexico, more than half of women (54%) consider that showing themselves authentic, fully living their passions and sharing unique tastes are attractive qualities.
“It seems important to me to know if he likes the cold or the heat more, cats or dogs, or his favorite movie. In my case, a good description is worth more than twenty perfect photos,” says Luis Sotelo, user of the application.
