Subsequently, Islamic Jihad has confirmed that several of its militants have died in the attack: “We regret the loss of a group of the movement’s children in the immoral Israeli aggression that targeted the Syrian capital,” reads a statement collected by the Palestinian newspaper ‘Filastín’.

“This aggression reflects the Israeli military failure in confronting the resistance forces on the ground, especially in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon,” he said, referring to the areas in which the Army of Israel is carrying out ground attacks.
