The Government of Ukraine has assured this Thursday that the situation in the Russian province of Kursk “has stabilized”, after the latest attack by the Russian Armed Forces in which, as confirmed, North Korean troops, deployed in as part of a Moscow-Pyongyang security agreement.
“So far, the situation in Kurshchyna has stabilized, but the Russian Army retains the ability to carry out new assault attempts,” said Andri Kovalenko, head of the counter-disinformation center at the National Security and Defense Council. Ukraine.
“The Russians have tested us without success during the battle: they have lost equipment and people,” Kovalenko celebrated in a message on his Telegram account.
Regarding the North Korean troops, Kovalenko explained that although they have not participated in this latest assault by the Russian Army, “they remain in position.”
In recent days, Washington and Seoul have been claiming that North Korean soldiers have already participated in some operations with the Russian Armed Forces. Ukraine has also confirmed “small-scale” fighting. It is estimated that some 10,000 soldiers from the Asian country have been sent to Russian territory.
