The Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, threatened this Monday to attack Iran, ensuring that the Islamic Republic is “more exposed than ever to attacks against its nuclear facilities.”
“We have the opportunity to achieve our most important objective: to thwart and eliminate the existential threat to the State of Israel,” he declared on his social network account X, in a message that he conveyed to the Israeli Army during his first meeting as minister. since taking office following the dismissal of his predecessor, Yoav Gallant.
These words come after Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, assured last week that Tehran will respond in a “precise” and “calculated” manner to the bombings carried out against the country at the end of October, before insisting that The country “does not seek an increase in tensions” in the Middle East.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out the aforementioned bombings, which resulted in the death of four soldiers and one civilian, within the framework of an operation that was presented as a response to the Iranian air attacks launched against the country on December 1. October, in which nearly 180 ballistic missiles were fired.
The Iranian attacks on Israel were described by Tehran as a response to the deaths of several leaders of armed groups allied to Tehran in the region.
