The PP asks Congress to give more incentives to attract and retain technological profiles to the public service

MADRID 9 Nov. () –

The PP has registered an initiative in Congress with which it asks to develop a digitalization plan that provides incentives to attract and retain talent specialized in technology within the public service.

This is a non-legal proposal registered for debate in the Finance Commission that aims to adapt the public service to existing technological challenges.

The PP argues in its proposal, collected by Europa Press, that in the current era of digitalization and globalization, adaptation to technological challenges has become a “prevailing need” for all institutions, and the public service “does not is an exception.”

“Public Administrations cannot be inflexible. On the contrary, they must show a resilient character to implement effective and constant adaptation processes,” the group adds.

For this reason, the training led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo advocates establishing a digitalization plan that includes the implementation of modern technological tools in administrative processes.

TRAIN EMPLOYEES

The proposal also calls for promoting training in new digital skills for public employees through continuous training programs, as well as encouraging collaboration with technology companies, startups and universities to incorporate innovative technological solutions in the provision of public services.

The PP wants this plan to establish periodic evaluation mechanisms to identify technological needs in the public service, while implementing measures to improve efficiency and transparency in public management through technology, such as the use of digital platforms for administrative procedures.

Finally, the Popular Group urges the Government to reinforce cybersecurity in all areas of Public Administration, guaranteeing the protection of sensitive data and the technological infrastructure of the State.
