MADRID 6 Nov. () –

The president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated Donald Trump this Wednesday on his virtual victory in the United States elections, a “personal feat,” he highlighted, having occurred “in an unprecedented contest.”

“Congratulations on your return to the position of president,” said the Belarusian president, who wished Trump “good health and good political decisions that will make the United States great again.”

“The results of these elections, which this year were held in an unprecedented struggle, have become the embodiment of his personal feat. He has done so, above all, on behalf of the United States and its citizens,” he remarked. .

Lukashenko thus congratulates Donald Trump unlike his main supporter, the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. For the moment, the Kremlin has avoided commenting in this regard, limiting itself to pointing out that the new relations between Washington and Moscow will depend on the White House. “It is practically impossible for things to get worse,” Russian spokesman Dimitri Peskov said this Wednesday.
