Thus, Zajarova has assured that, despite the “absolutely monstrous and unimaginable” accusations made by Sandu, alluding to the complaints of alleged Russian interference in the first presidential round and the plebiscite to clear membership in the European Union, Russia is committed to maintaining “friendly” relations with Moldova.
“Despite the absolutely monstrous and unimaginable statements of Sandu and her entire regime, all those from the West who gave her money, financed her and pushed her in her policies (…) We have always been open to a friendly, mutually respectful partnership , to closer relations with the citizens of Moldova,” he added.
Sandu achieved victory last weekend in the second round of the presidential elections with 55.33 percent of the votes against Stoianoglo, who has stated that he does not recognize defeat because it is based mainly on the vote of Moldovans. abroad.
