( Spanish) — The Mexican entertainment reporter Patricia Ramírez González, known as “Paty Bunbury”, died this Wednesday, the victim of several gunshots in her food business, located in the city of Colima, report the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
In a statement posted on its X account, CPJ reiterated its call for authorities to “open an immediate and credible investigation” into the crime that occurred in this Mexican Pacific state.
The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Colima released a statement on Wednesday afternoon that reported the firearm attack against a woman and then added that none of its lines of investigation are related, until now, to Bunbury’s journalistic work.

The event occurred just one day after the murder of journalist Mauricio Cruz Solís, perpetrated in Uruapan, Michoacán on October 29.
