“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine expresses its deep solidarity with the Government and people of Spain following the devastating floods that have left people dead, missing people and material damage. It sends its condolences to the families of the victims and the affected communities and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured and safety to the missing,” reads a statement published on his X profile.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), for its part, sent on Friday a message “of solidarity and love to the friendly Spanish people, especially in the Valencia region, after the devastating floods that have left hundreds dead or missing, and a enormous damage to public and private property.” Hamas spokesman Basem Naim spoke this way “despite the pain and suffering” suffered by the Palestinian people “due to the war of extermination waged by Israel.”

From the Israeli Government, Foreign Minister Israel Katz expressed his “deepest solidarity with the people of Valencia and with all the Spanish people in the face of the devastating floods and storms that affected the country.” “I send my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the well-being and safety of all those affected,” he said in a message in which he quoted the mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá.

The DANA, which is mainly affecting the east of the country, has so far left a provisional balance of 214 dead, 210 in the Valencian Community, three in Castilla-La Mancha and another in Andalusia. So far, there is no official number of missing people in the province of Valencia.

These data place this natural disaster as one of the most serious in the last 75 years, even ahead of the Biescas (Huesca) flood in 1996 with 87 deaths and the Turia flood in 1957, in which 80 lost their lives. and 100 people.
