Although there is less than a year left until support for Windows 10 ends, something that will happen on October 14, 2025, many users are still using this operating system and have no intention of making the jump to the new one.
This could mean countless problems for Redmond in less than a year, and Microsoft has just published one page in which, paragraph by paragraph, they try to convince you to update, whatever, to Windows 11.
Microsoft wants you to update to Windows 11, either from your compatible computer or by buying another one. Although if there is no other choice, at least you can benefit from the extended security updates for Windows 10 that will cost you $30 for just one year.
On this new Microsoft page, written by Yusuf Mehdiexecutive vice president, shows the reasons why you should switch to Windows 11 now.
They start by commenting that Windows 11 It is better in terms of speed and efficiency. They add that the response time is much faster in sleep mode, navigation, animation and more.
They are also surprising when commenting that Copilot+ PCs are five times faster than PCs from five years ago.
Add that like Windows 11 offers better performance and efficiencyalso helps “perform AI-powered productivity and creativity tasks.”
Regarding security, they also have words, saying that it is “our most secure version of Windows to date.” They highlight some features such as TPM 2.0, Smart App Control and the Pluton security processor that can reduce security incidents. With that, they say, you will be protected against piracy, phishing and malware.
They also have words for businesses, as they claim they will experience “50% faster workflows” compared to Windows 10.
Microsoft’s efforts with Windows 11 and to convince users are understandable, but given that there is less than a year left until the end of support for Windows 10, time is against them.
