The Ministry of Public Health of Lebanon this Thursday raised the death toll to more than 2,860 from the attacks launched by the Israel Defense Forces on the country over the last year as part of its offensive against the Shiite militia party Hezbollah. .
Specifically, the Lebanese health authorities have specified on their social networks that there are 2,867 dead and another 13,047 injured. In the last 24 hours alone, Israeli attacks have left another 45 dead and 110 wounded.
The most affected governorate is that of Becá, which has 31 dead and 24 injured; the Southern governorate, with another five dead and 38 injured; Nabatiye, which adds another three dead and 31 wounded; Baalbek, with three dead and ten wounded; and Mount Lebanon, which has mourned three deaths and seven injuries.
Lebanese authorities have detailed that almost 2,100 of the dead and more than 10,200 of the injured are men. Likewise, there are 560 women dead and more than 2,400 injured. On the other hand, almost 180 of the dead are minors, as well as more than 1,170 of the injured.
Regarding the health sector, Lebanon has regretted that 178 health workers have died and another 283 have been injured. In addition, more than 240 ambulances have been hit by Israeli attacks, while 81 outpatient clinics and almost 40 hospitals have suffered damage.
