Xiaomi has presented his new series of flagship smartphones Xiaomi 15, which is made up of the model Standard and Prohighlighting the latter for its 6,110 mAh batteryits 2K screen and its Leica triple camera with a 5X periscope telephoto lens, all powered by the new Qualcomm processor, Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The company has announced the characteristics of its new devices, which succeed the Xiaomi 14 series, at a presentation event in China, where it has indicated that it is the “most powerful” smartphone series to date.

In this sense, the new Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro stand out for being the first to equip the new Qualcomm processor, Snapdragon 8 Elite, which, manufactured with a second-generation 3-nanometer process, claims to be the most powerful and fastest chip the company has ever manufactured.

Thus, this processor is combined with a configuration to choose between 12GB and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAMalong with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storageboth in the standard and Pro models.

On the other hand, this new series has a design that keeps the camera module square in shape located in the upper left corner of the back of the smartphone. Likewise, the Pro model features rounded corners and straight edges, and its casing has been manufactured with a metal base offering a matte ceramic finishspecifically, in the colors green, gray, white and silver.

Regarding the screen, the Xiaomi 15 Pro uses a 6.73 inch LTPO OLED panel, that offers a 2K resolution of 2,670 x 1,200 pixels and has “ultra-low” power consumption. In addition, it has a refresh rate of up to 120Hzas well as with a capacity of maximum brightness of 3,200 nits.

In the photographic section, the new Xiaomi 15 series is powered by Leica. In the case of the Pro version, it comes with a Summilux triple camera composed of a 50MP main sensor with optical stabilization, a lens 50MP wide angle and a periscopic telephoto lensalso from 50MP and with optical stabilization. The latter allows a 5x lossless zoom. The front camera is 32MP.

The Model 15 Pro batteryfor its part, reaches a 6,110 mAh capacityand is compatible with a 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. As noted by Xiaomi, the battery of this model has been improved by 38 percent compared to its predecessor, Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Xiaomi has also highlighted that the new Xiaomi 15 Pro is equipped with the Longjing Glass 2, which offers up to 16 times greater resistance to shocks. The device is also resistant to water and dust with the IP68 certification.

With all this, Xiaomi’s new series of smartphones is completed with the renewed HyperOS 2.0 operating system, powered by Android 15. Likewise, it includes 5G connectivity, WiFi 7, Bluetooth and NFC connection, in addition to integrating a reader fingerprints under the screen and stereo speakers for sound.

In the case of Xiaomi model 15, It shares many features with the Pro model, however, it has a slightly different designwith straighter edges and has been presented in the lilac, green, black, white and silver colorsthe latter with a finish that simulates something similar to the movement of water.

The Xiaomi 15’s screen is slightly smaller, with 6.36 inchesand offers a 1.5K resolution. As for the camera, manufactured with Leica, it is also made up of three 50 MP sensors although, in this case, the Periscopic telephoto lens reaches 2.6X zoom.

For its part, the battery drops to 5,400 mAh, However, it also offers 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. In this case, battery life has been increased by 23 percent compared to its predecessor model.

Xiaomi has launched the standard model Xiaomi 15 from 4,999 yuan (around 649.73 euros to change) for its most basic version. For his part, the Xiaomi 15 Pro sold in China from 5,299 yuan (688.72 euros to change).
