At least one person has died and eleven others have been injured in an attack carried out by the Russian Armed Forces against the city of Krivoy Rog, in the Dnipropetrovsk region (east), as reported late on Monday by the Ukrainian authorities.
“A three-story residential building in an apartment building was almost destroyed. The emergency rescue operation is ongoing,” said the head of the Ukrainian regional military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul.
Vilkul noted that the deceased man, aged 39, died “due to a serious open head injury.” He has also stated that a center has been set up at a nearby school to provide assistance with construction materials, utility equipment, requests for resettlement assistance, among others.
Likewise, the regional governor, Serhiy Lisak, has indicated that in addition to the deceased, there is another man in “extremely serious condition” and five others hospitalized in “moderate condition.” “Doctors are doing everything possible to save them,” he said.
Both Russia and Ukraine have intensified their bombing at a time when kyiv is carrying out an offensive in the heart of Russian territory, specifically in the Kursk region.
