A SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, on a mission called Crew-8, departed the International Space Station on Wednesday with four astronauts assigned to the mission. These NASA astronauts have been at the International Space Station since last March 5. The landing is scheduled for Friday at 3:30 a.m. Miami time, NASA said. Two other flight test pilots, NASA’s Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who had to stay on the Space Station longer than planned due to technical problems, will remain there for a while longer. Williams and Wilmore are assigned to return home aboard SpaceX’s Crew-9 mission, but that is not estimated to happen before February 2025.
