IAEA confirms that Iranian nuclear facilities have not been damaged by the Israeli attack

MADRID 26 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, confirmed this Saturday that Iranian nuclear facilities have not been affected by the latest attack by Israeli aircraft.

“Iran’s nuclear facilities have not been affected. IAEA inspectors are safe and continue with their vital work,” Grossi said on his account on the X social network.

“I ask for caution and to avoid actions that could endanger the safety of nuclear and other radioactive materials,” he added.

At least four Iranian soldiers have died in the air attack carried out this past morning by the Israeli Army against these positions; a bombing that Israel has framed as a response to Iranian air attacks launched against the country, the last of which occurred on October 1.

The attack has been confirmed by the Iranian Air Force, which has reported attacks against military radars in three provinces of the country: Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam. The Iranian Army assures that air defenses have managed to “successfully repel” the attack, although “there is limited damage in some places.” Furthermore, they maintain that they have prevented Israeli fighter jets from entering their airspace.
