Apple has begun testing the following features coming to its Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence (AI) system, including Genmojis, the visual intelligence tool, and ChatGPT integration.

The distribution of iOS18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia (15.1), which is expected to begin next week, will introduce Apple Intelligence to the American brand’s devices, following its announcement last June, within the framework of an event developers annual.

The functions powered by this system, however, will arrive in stages, starting with the text writing tool, a renewed version of Siri and the ‘Clean Up for Photos’ option, which allows you to remove objects from photos.

The betas of iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia (15.2) are available from this Wednesday, and in them it is possible to gain early access to the AI ​​features that will arrive in the second wave: Genmoji, the integration of ChatGPT and visual intelligence , as reported on Engadget.

Genmoji are avatars that can be generated directly from the keyboard from a description that the user can create for themselves. They can be used in conversations, also in third-party messaging applications.

These betas also include generative tools such as Image Playground, to create new images from a description, which will be available as a stand-alone ‘app’ and as an option within Messages. E Magic Image, to transform elements of an image with the use of your finger or Apple Pencil.

For its part, the integration of ChatGPT will make the OpenAI chatbot available as a Siri complement and in the writing tool, while Visual Intelligence will incorporate a Google Lens-style tool, allowing you to obtain information about objects and places just by pointing the camera.
