The YPR-765 vehicle joins the extensive list of trophies accumulated by the Russian Armed Forces after the incessant deliveries of Western war material to kyiv.

Members of a tank regiment of the Russian Army’s Center group captured a Dutch-made YPR-765 armored infantry vehicle while fighting northwest of the city of Donetsk. According to story the head of the attack unit, nicknamed ‘Akula’ (‘shark’), the soldiers “made him jump on a mine and put pressure” until the Ukrainian troops had to abandon him.

From the combat zone in Donbass, in the direction of the town of Krasnoarmeisk (Donetsk People’s Republic), the vehicle will be transferred to the rear for study, as has been the fate of the rest of the war trophies.

Multiple Western armored vehicles that the Russian military captured from Ukrainian troops were displayed in Moscow’s Victory Park in May and June 2024 and subsequently in other cities in the country. Among the trophies stood out a German-made Leopard-2A6 battle tank and an American M1A1 Abrams. In total, 33 models of armored vehicles supplied to kyiv by the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, Australia, Finland, Turkey, the Czech Republic and also manufactured in Ukraine were exhibited.
