Thus, he detailed that this “successful” operation has focused on “terrorist hideouts” in the Hamrin mountains, while praising the work of the security forces and insisting that “there is no place for terrorists in Iraq.” “.
“We will pursue them in their hideouts and eliminate them until Iraq is cleansed of them and their atrocious acts,” the Iraqi prime minister concluded, after which the Security Media Cell of the Ministry of the Interior has detailed that the operation took place. “with technical support” from the international coalition led by the United States.
In this sense, the organization has reported that the operation was carried out early in the day and resulted in the death of nine “terrorists”, including Abu Abdulqader. “The names and details of the rest will be announced after carrying out the DNA tests,” he explained.
The announcement comes just a few days after the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the death of the considered main commander of the jihadist organization for northern Iraq in an air attack carried out on October 14 in the northeast of the country.
The attack, a “precision artillery” maneuver, ended the life of Shahadha Salí Bayari, alias ‘Abú Issa’ or also known as “the governor of Kirkuk”, along with three other members of the Islamic State, a now reduced organization to itinerant cells scattered throughout the country after the territorial defeat it suffered in 2019 after several years controlling large areas of Iraq.
