At least three dead, including a child, in a Russian night attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumi

At least three people, including a child, died this Tuesday in a night drone attack carried out by the Russian Armed Forces against the Ukrainian city of Sumi, in the far northeast of the country, near the common border.

The military authorities of the Sumi region have announced the toll of victims through their Telegram channel, adding that, although during the early hours their air defenses have shot down 25 drones, a bombing has hit a residential apartment and critical infrastructure.

This attack has coincided with the visit to Ukraine of the Secretary of Defense of the United States, Lloyd Austin, who arrived the day before to meet with the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenksi, and announce a military aid package valued at 400 million dollars (about 370 million euros).
