In this sense, the Israeli Prosecutor’s Office has noted that the suspects were in contact with Iranian agents and carried out activities in favor of the Iranian Intelligence services in exchange for various payments, some of them in cryptocurrencies. Thus, he stressed that some of them had been carrying out these tasks for two years.

For this reason, he has emphasized that this is one of the most serious cases that he has investigated in recent years and has announced that he intends to charge all detainees with security charges, who will remain in custody until the procedures are completed. legal against them.

The announcement comes a week after authorities confirmed the arrest of two Israeli citizens suspected of carrying out acts of sabotage on behalf of Iran and of planning the assassination of a senior official in the country, without for now there being details on who it would be. the objective of this alleged plot.

Israeli authorities have claimed in recent months to have dismantled several Iranian plots, including the recruitment of Israelis to carry out the assassination of several senior officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
