The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Diaz Ayusohas crossed the last red line that remained in his confrontation, political and personal, with Pedro Sánchez. Ayuso has refused to participate in the round of bilateral meetings with regional presidents scheduled for this Friday, which is when it corresponded by protocol, and has also rejected that meeting taking place on any other date.
Government sources They assure that “it is the first and only autonomous authority that refuses to participate in a round that is taking place with institutional normality and in which a multitude of issues of vital importance for citizens are being discussed.” Furthermore, they consider that “above political differences, we believe in the normal functioning of institutions and the necessary collaboration between all administrations. Meeting and dialogue, resolving differences in a respectful manner and listening to other people’s opinions, is a basic element of the functioning of our democracy. Not participating is irresponsible and a dereliction of duty.”

It is not acceptable to use discrepancies in this area to violate institutional normality which means that the regional presidents meet with the President of the Government to discuss issues of interest to citizens.
