The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the southern outskirts of the Lebanese capital, in particular the Haret Hreik and Hadat areas, around 5:45 a.m. (local time), causing huge columns of smoke.

According to the Al Manar network, related to Hezbollah, Israeli forces have attacked these neighborhoods up to four times, but so far there have been no confirmed fatalities or injuries.

Just an hour before the bombings, the Israeli Army issued an evacuation order to residents of the area, alleging that they would carry out an attack on two buildings that supposedly housed facilities of the Shiite group.

“You are close to Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the IDF will operate in the near future. For your safety and that of your family members, you must evacuate the building and those adjacent to it immediately and keep a safe distance from them. no less than 500 meters,” its spokesperson in Arabic, Avichai Adrai, said on the social network X.

The IDF has subsequently announced the deaths of more than 65 Hezbollah “terrorists” in fighting in the south of the Arab republic, in addition to attacks on “dozens of targets” of the group, “including squadrons, shuttles and facilities.”

This Saturday, Lebanon’s health authorities raised the death toll to 2,448 and the number of injuries to 11,471 at the hands of Israeli forces since the start of hostilities with Hezbollah more than a year ago, which have intensified over the last month.
