The air defense forces of the Russian Army have “intercepted and destroyed” during the early hours of this Sunday more than a hundred unmanned aircraft from Ukraine over different parts of its territory, including the capital, Moscow, the central authorities of the Russian Federation have reported. country.
“Last night an attempt by the kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped,” the Ministry of Defense announced in a Telegram message, in which it later clarified that “service air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 110 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.”
Of the total devices identified, 43 have flown over the Kursk region; 27 have been detected over Lipetsk territory and 18 more in the Oryol region. Likewise, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, eight unmanned aerial vehicles have been intercepted; seven in Belgorod; six in the territory of the Bryansk region and one last over Moscow.
These attacks come after the Ukrainian Intelligence Service (GUR) announced this Saturday the death of a senior Russian Army officer due to the explosion of a car bomb in the Ukrainian city of Lugansk, occupied by Russian forces in the east of the country.
