The Lebanese health authorities have raised the death toll to 2,448 and the number of injuries to 11,471 due to the attacks launched by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) since the start of hostilities with the Shiite militia party Hezbollah more than a year ago. year, which have intensified during the last month.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health published the balance sheet this Saturday afternoon, after confirming that 30 people have died and 135 have been injured at the hands of the Israeli Army in the last 24 hours.

Most of these victims are concentrated in the Nabatiyeh governorate in southern Lebanon and the Beka Valley in the east, where at least four people have been killed and 13 wounded in an Israeli attack, according to same information collected by the state news agency NNA.

Among the fatalities was the mayor of a nearby town, according to a preliminary report. If confirmed, it would add to the death of the mayor of Nabatiyeh, Ahmed Kaheel, this Wednesday in a wave of bombings by the Israeli Army that left at least 15 others dead.

For its part, the Emergency Committee of the Lebanese Government has reported that “during the last 24 hours, 82 air attacks and bombings were recorded in various areas” of the country, bringing the total number of attacks perpetrated by Israeli forces to 10,415. on Lebanese territory since the beginning of hostilities between them and the Shiite militia party Hezbollah more than a year ago.
