On social networks, the Singer Sasha Sokol announced that the court exercised its power to continue the case against the producer and determine a final resolution.
The singer and actress reported in a statement the turn in the process that began in 2022 against Luis de Llano, who had a relationship with her when she was 14 years old.
“Yesterday, the First Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation resolved, by unanimous vote, to exercise the power of attraction to hear the files of direct protection, derived from the civil trial that I promoted against Luis de Llano . This means that it will be the Supreme Court that will ultimately judge and decide my case.”
A first instance judge, like an appeals court, issued a ruling favorable to the actress, ensuring that she was even ordered to issue a public apology, and was also grateful that her case reached the highest court in the country.
“To date, both a first instance judge and an appeal chamber of the Court of Justice of Mexico City have issued rulings in my favor, determining that, indeed, Luis de Llano committed sexual abuse and also re-victimized me through of his statements.”
“For such conduct, he has already been sentenced to issue a public apology, take a specialized course in the prevention of sexual abuse behavior, not mention me again, and repair the damage caused. As I have mentioned before, the amounts that are eventually determined as compensation will be donated entirely to ADIVAC, a civil organization dedicated to combating and preventing the sexual abuse of minors.”
“Thanks to yesterday’s decision, the trial will be resolved by Ministers of the highest court in the country, making it possible for them to rule on constitutional issues of great importance for minor victims of sexual abuse: thus establishing mandatory precedents that allow “Other victims exercise their right to have the truth established and their damages repaired.”
“I trust in the judicial authorities and that the end of this long journey will soon come, when Luis de Llano will finally have to accept his guilt and the consequences of his actions.”
This news represents an important advance in their search for justice, since it will be the highest court in the country that will be in charge of issuing a final resolution on the matter.
