One-year Cetes rebound this week

No relevant economic information was published this week, but analysts estimate that the Bank of Mexico (Banxico) will continue with interest rate cuts in the next two meetings this year.

If the expectation that the central bank makes two cuts is met, the interest rate will close in 2024 at levels of 10%.

What is the performance of the Cetes today?

The 28-day Cetes had a decrease in yields this week to 10.21% while at 91 days, yields fell slightly to 10.41%.

The six-month term remained at 10.43% and one year later, the yield offered rose to 10.25%.

Should I continue investing in Cetes now that they have gone down?

Cetes are one of the safest investment instruments since they are government debt.

Although the Cetes no longer register returns of 11 or 12%, it is a good investment if you consider that inflation is 4.58%.
