ADTechnology and Rebellions have teamed up with ARM and Samsung to create a new CPU chiplet for Artificial Intelligence tasks based on the ARM Neoverse CSS V3 platform.

Specifically, the new chiplet will be based on the ADTechnology design, created under the Neoverse CSS V3 platform and will be combined with an accelerator for Artificial Intelligence developed by Rebellions, its REBEL AI.

All of this will be manufactured in Samsung facilities with its new 2 nanometer manufacturing process with GAA (Gate All Around) technology, with which they promise an estimated efficiency of up to 3 times higher than previous generations. Samsung’s 2nm GAA process has been specially adapted to the Cortex cores of the ARM Neoverse CSS V3 platform.

The platform Neoverse CSS along with the latest V3 cores, it is a proposal from ARM that makes it easier for companies to create their own chips based on the company’s architecture. In just 9 months, a company can take advantage of ARM’s documentation, support and designs to have a chip ready to their liking, avoiding all the previous years of research and development necessary if they had to start from scratch.

Naturally, in this latest revision, compatibility with AI accelerators integrated into the SoC is added, and from there this new processor is born.
