Android 15 includes functions that other manufacturers have been integrating into their customized versions of the operating system for years, such as the option to place applications in a private, password-protected environment to prevent other users with access to the smartphone from being able to open them.

New functions are also introduced to detect theft and facilitate blocking the terminal in that case remotely (again, functions that other manufacturers such as Samsung or Huawei have already had for a long time).

Only the Google Pixel of the last 4 generations will be updated to Android 15, that is, the Pixel 9, Pixel 8, Pixel 7 and Pixel 6. All previous models that do not have a Tensor SoC from the company will not be able to make the official leap to this version as it is already outside the company’s extended support period.
