MADRID 13 Oct. () –

The air defense forces of the Russian Army have intercepted up to 13 drones of Ukrainian origin during the early hours of this Sunday over the Russian regions of Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk, the country’s Ministry of Defense reported early in the morning.

“Last night, when the kyiv regime attempted to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation, 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by service air defense systems” , the Ministry explained in a publication on its Telegram channel.

Defense has clarified in the same statement that 12 of the aforementioned drones have been “destroyed in the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions”, six in each of them, while one has been intercepted over the Bryansk region.

These attacks come after Ukrainian security forces reported this Saturday that a Russian attack with guided bombs in the Kharkiv region, in the northeast of the country, had left at least two dead and 12 wounded in the town of Kupiansk.

For his part, according to the TASS agency, the head of the Belgorod regional administration, Vyacheslav Gladkov, also confirmed this Saturday the death of a civilian as a result of a massive attack by Ukrainian drones against the population of Ustinka, where other two people were injured.
