This is big league music.
He Mets Anthem “OMG”,” played by infielder José Iglesias, earned his own big win this week.
The fan-favorite pop hit enjoyed a nearly 70% increase in streams on Wednesday as the Mets defeated the Phillies in the NLDS, a Spotify representative told The Post.
Iglesias, 34, a native of Cuba who is also Latin singer Candelito, performed the beloved tune on the field after his victory, as his teammates cheered him on.
Jasmine Buzeta, a native of Flushing, Queens, was at Wednesday’s game, which happened to be her birthday, and said the song sparks a “unique set of emotions” for Amazins fans.
“It’s more than a song, it celebrates the spirit of the game. “The connection between sport and song creates a feeling of shared enthusiasm and admiration,” he said.
Since its release in June, the song was most streamed on Spotify in the tri-state area on Oct. 4, the day after the Mets beat the Brewers in the National League Wild Card Series.
On Friday, Iglesias published a remix with pitbulljust in time for the team’s National League Championship Series.
