The General Staff of the Malian Army has indicated that the military “dismantled a terrorist ambush” in Saye and has praised the “withering reaction” of the soldiers, before stating that several soldiers were “slightly wounded.”

“On the side of the terrorists, the toll of victims is high and there are many who were neutralized,” he noted in a statement published on his account on the social network Facebook, where he also talks about the seizure of weapons, ammunition, grenades. , motorcycles and medicines.

The statement comes just one day after the Malian Army announced the “neutralization” of “an important terrorist group” in the surroundings of the city of Timbuktu (north), after repelling an “ambush” on a group of soldiers in the route that connects the town with Ber.
