The United Kingdom economy recorded monthly growth of 0.2% in August, after the stagnation observed in the previous two months, as reported this Friday by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The rebound in British GDP in August was the result of 0.1% growth in the services sector, in line with the July figure, while industry advanced 0.5%, in contrast to the 0.7% fall in the previous month. For its part, construction increased 0.4%, after falling four tenths in July.
In quarterly data, the gross domestic product (GDP) of the United Kingdom registered an expansion of 0.2% between June and August compared to the previous three months.
