Sophie Watts joins the board of directors of animation company Two Daughters Entertainment

EXCLUSIVE: Sofia Wattsformer co-founding president of STX Entertainment, joined the board of directors of British animation firm Two Daughters Entertainment.

The appointment has been made with a view to American expansion.

Two Daughters Entertainment was founded in 2016 by James Reatchlous. Your first IP, Moleybegan with a half-hour special and is now broadcast in 180 countries in 30 languages, including Peacock in the US. The company’s feature film slate includes The land of timesstarring Ewan McGregor, Mel Brooks and Helena Bonham Carter, set to be released in late 2025. Directed by Leon Joosen (Saving Santa Claus), bonnie arnold (How to train your dragon) and Alan Yentob (Billy Elliot) They are executive producers alongside Two Daughters CEO James Reatchlous and CEO Simon Bobin.

The board appointment was announced last night at the Two Daughters Entertainment Gala event at the Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures in Hollywood.

Watts helped build STX into a major independent company, first uniting it with Bob Simonds in 2011. She stepped down as corporate president in 2018 before the company hit a troubled patch.

Two Daughters Entertainment is represented in the United States by Zero Gravity Management.
