( Spanish) – The Attorney General’s Office of Guerrero, Mexico, reported this Sunday that opened an investigation file for the murder of the mayor of Chilpancingo, Alejandro Arcos.
The communication department of the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to that the deceased is Alejandro Arcos, mayor of Chilpancingo, capital of Guerrero.
An investigation file was “initiated against whoever or those who are responsible for the crime of qualified homicide, committed to the detriment of Alejandro “N”, for the events that occurred in Chilpancingo,” the Prosecutor’s Office detailed in a brief statement.
Alejandro Arcos assumed the municipal presidency of Chilpancingo on October 1, and his Government Secretary, Francisco Tapia, had been assassinated on Friday of last week.
