Intel AI Playground It is an Intel tool that combines different technologies that make use of Artificial Intelligence locally through the use of Intel Core processors with Arc graphics. We already told you about it when it was launched last month.
Curiously, although the Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” processors have made a fairly high leap in local AI capabilities, it has not been until now when the company has updated the Intel AI Playground to support Lunar Lake.
The idea of this tool is to make it easier for users to try what can be done with Artificial Intelligence, a good idea if we take into account that local AI is something that is not yet widespread in the main programs on the market. . We have functions such as image generation, editing, rescaling, or chatbots.
The fact that Lunar Lake was launched without support for this own Intel suite, and has not received it until now, is yet another example of the early state of AI acceleration at the hardware level and of software. With all manufacturers launching processors with NPUs and AI capabilities, but with enormous fragmentation and lack of support in many tools.
The same goes for Windows Copilot+, a set of tools integrated into the operating system that make use of AI and that, at the moment, are not compatible with the processors of the two main chip manufacturers: Intel and AMD.
