At least five children from the same family have died in a fire declared in an apartment in the Jordanian town of Ruseifa, in the province of Zarká (north of the country).
The Department of Public Security has explained that the five brothers died when their apartment on the second floor was devoured by flames, according to statements collected this Saturday by the official Jordanian news agency, Petra.
Firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and transferred the bodies to the Prince Faisal Public Hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, according to a statement from the Department of Civil Defense spokesman.
