September 29 () –

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this Sunday of the death of a French citizen in Lebanon in the context of Israeli bombings, the second since the start of the Israeli air offensive.

“We confirm the death of a second Frenchman. We will provide more details later,” the Ministry indicated, according to BFMTV television.

Last Monday, an 87-year-old woman of French nationality died in a town on the outskirts of Tyre. The building he was in collapsed after an explosion.

This same Sunday, the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Noël Barrot, landed in Beirut, the first high-level diplomat to visit Lebanon since the start of the Israeli bombings.

Barrot plans to meet with several officials from the Lebanese Government and the UN during the day on Monday.
