Bangkok Bank, headed by the Chairman, Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, the Senior Vice President of the Corporate Finance Department, Mr. Montri Upathambhakul, and the Vice President of the Public Relations Department, Mr. Suwit Indrachalerm, joined the 60 Years of Excellence event of the TMA to present the stand under the concept “Growing Together for 80 Years”.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Bangkok Bank, Mr. Chatsiri Sophonpanich, joined the discussion on the topic “What does it take to be competitive?” He mentioned the challenging factors in increasing Thailand’s competitiveness, such as the quality of human resources, environmental issues, regulatory standards and the use of technology along with proper management.

He said the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a proper management system will help create considerable new opportunities as it will help perform certain types of tasks more efficiently, such as those that require a large number of repetitions. Humans will be able to use the results of AI processing for decision making. Furthermore, the development of physical, digital and regulatory infrastructure is another important aspect that must be taken into account.

At the event, the Bank also had a stand to showcase its financial services to celebrate 80 years of being a “trusted partner” growing alongside customers and supporting businesses for sustainable growth.

On this occasion, the Bank executives welcomed and presented the commemorative book “80 years of Bangkok Bank” to Mr. Pasu Loharjun, Chairman of the Board See Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Body):TCEB, and Mr. Nithi Patrachok. Vice President of the Thailand Management Association (TMA), during his visit to the Bank’s stand. The “TMA 60 Years of Excellence” event was held from September 16 to 19 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
