Alphacool has confirmed today that all of its liquid cooling blocks as well as currently available all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooling kits will be compatible with AMD Ryzen 7000 processors and their respective AM5 motherboards, something that can save us a component when upgrading from platform to platform.
Mounting kits included with current Alphacool products are already mechanically compatible with socket AM5, especially given the care that AMD has taken to respect the same dimensions for the mounting holes. Although it is something that may seem trivial, sometimes it cannot be respected due to the physical changes that processors undergo over the years.
In this way, Alphacool also assures users new to the brand that, even if they purchase a cooling system designed for the AM4 socket, it will be compatible with socket AM5 in the same wayeven if this is not written on the box –which may have been printed before the existence of this socket—.
AMD plans to launch its new Ryzen 7000 Series processors soon, so they can definitely be on the radar of many enthusiasts who have wanted to wait for the launch of a new platform to be able to carry out a complete update of their equipment.
