September 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least eleven people have died and 108 have been injured as a result of the continued bombing this Saturday by the Israeli Army against several points in the south and east of Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has announced. .

This was announced by the head of the portfolio, Firas Abiad, during a press conference in which he offered a detailed balance of victims in Lebanon since the Israeli military operation on the Gaza Strip, after the attacks by the Islamic Resistance Movement ( Hamas) on October 7.

Since then, 1,640 people have died at the hands of the Israeli Army, including 194 women and 104 children. These figures are expected to increase, the minister said, as search work continues under the rubble.

In just eleven days, between September 16 and 27, Israel’s attacks on Lebanese soil have caused 1,030 fatalities, including 56 women and 87 minors, and 6,352 people have been injured.

Abiad has also highlighted the role of health professionals as a focus of Israeli attacks. Since the start of the conflict, 41 health personnel in Lebanon have been killed and 111 injured.

These data include seven deaths and four injuries resulting from two attacks carried out this Friday by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) against medical centers in Deir Sryran and Al Tayiba, near the town of Marjayoun (southern Lebanon).

During his speech, reported by the Lebanese state news agency NNA, the minister also explained the services that the administration is offering to displaced people, a number that has not stopped increasing since the Israeli Army intensified its attacks against the south of the country in mid-September.

Thus, two telephone lines have been opened for all questions about health services, free hospital care has been guaranteed, as well as the distribution of medicines to primary care centers.
