The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this Friday that at least ten people have died and another eleven have been injured in an explosion at a gas station in the province of Dagestan, located in southwestern Russia, in the region of the Caucasus.
As detailed by the Russian authorities, the toll of injuries and deaths continues to increase as the rubble is removed. According to the latest report shared by the aforementioned Ministry, two of the dead are minors.
The governor of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, has conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased through Telegram while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. In addition, he has valued the work of the rescue and emergency teams, which has allowed “lives to be saved.”
