Israel launches another bombardment against "Hezbollah positions" in southern Lebanon

September 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Army announced this Friday a new bombing against “positions of the Shiite party-militia Hezbollah” in southern Lebanon, attacks that are part of an intense campaign that began on Monday and that has already left some 800 dead and more than 2,000 injured in the neighboring country.

“The Israeli Armed Forces are currently attacking targets belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah in southern Lebanon,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement released through its account on the social network X.

This new bombing occurs shortly after the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, gave his speech before the United Nations General Assembly, where he assured that the country “seeks peace but fights for its life” in the face of “savage enemies that “they seek their annihilation.” In this sense, the president himself has stated that military operations against Hezbollah will continue.

For their part, the Lebanese authorities have warned that the country is facing a “total war” by Israel and have estimated that there have already been more than 1,500 deaths since October of last year due to clashes between the Israeli forces and Hezbollah on both sides of the border.
