The 30th anniversary PS5 Pro sells out instantly and hoarders resell it for more than $97,000 MXN

After months of rumors and much speculation, Sony finally confirmed the PlayStation 5 Pro, an improved version that promises to improve the performance and graphical details of games. Resellers Offer 30th Anniversary PlayStation 5 Pro at Exorbitant Prices

The pre-sale of these special edition collections started on September 26 on the official website of PlayStation Direct and at other participating retailers. To the surprise of many, the units were sold out in a matter of minutes in United Kingdom and USA. This scenario allowed resellers to enter the picture.

We must remember that only 12,300 units of these consoles commemorating the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation brand. Each set is individually numbered as a collector’s item.

The base model of the PlayStation 5 Pro will be available for $699.99 USDwhile the 30th Anniversary Special Edition package will cost $999 USD. Although it is a very high price, interested players will have to shell out more money to get it because the limited availability allowed hoarders to do their thing.

The bundle that includes the PS5 Pro, a pair of DualSense controllers, a case, and a stand is reportedly selling between $2000 USD and $5000 USD on eBay. It seems that the majority of confirmed sales are around $4200 USD and $4500 USDbut someone paid $5200 USD to get the special edition console. In another case, it appears that one person paid around $97,000 MXNaccording to the currency exchange.
