September 25 () –

Ukrainian authorities on Wednesday reported the deaths of four people in new attacks carried out by the Russian Army against the provinces of Donetsk and Kherson, located in the east of the country and partially occupied as part of the invasion unleashed in February 2022.

Donetsk Governor Vadim Filashkin said in a message posted on his Facebook account that three people were killed and five others wounded in a series of attacks on several towns on Tuesday, without giving further details.

Kherson Governor Oleksander Prokudin said at least one person had been killed and 18 others injured in the past 24 hours by Russian airstrikes, which hit a residential building and 16 other houses.

Donetsk and Kherson, along with Luhansk and Zaporizhia, all partially occupied during the invasion – and Donetsk and Luhansk the centre of a conflict with the Ukrainian army since 2014 – were annexed by Russia in October 2022, a measure not recognised by the international community that followed Moscow’s annexation of the Crimean peninsula in 2014.
