The Israeli army said on Wednesday that it had intercepted a missile launched from Lebanon after air raid sirens were activated in Tel Aviv and other communities in central Israel, amid escalating clashes with the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah.

He also said that sirens have been sounding in the areas of Gush Dan and Sharon and that “there is no change in the instructions” for the centre of the territory, stressing that educational institutions will remain open as they have been until now.
